The ECT4Health Suturing for Health Professionals workshop is ideal for nurses, doctors and students wishing to learn or refresh the suturing techniques for closure of lacerations. These suturing courses also includes refining the infiltration technique using local anaesthetic, understanding the latest scar management evidence and is ideal for rural and remote nurses, junior medical staff and medical practice nurses wishing to include suturing into their scope.

In advanced nursing practice, rural and remote practice and some GP clinics or family practices, nurses are required to perform simple, uncomplicated wound closures. Suturing for Health Professionals allows a nurse to master this skill in preparation for clinical practice.
