This live CME course provides up to 20.0 AMA PRA Category 1 credits^TM and 16 hours of Trauma CME credit. Description:
The One-Day Live CME Course is a one-day simulation-based training activity that is continually updated, comprehensive and includes 4 hours of hands-on ultrasound education. These live CME courses will be 100% hands-on procedural skills lab training. This course covers the 20 most essential procedures needed to work in the ER, ICU, and hospital wards, including the procedures needed for trauma management in the ER.

The One-Day Live Course is limited to 40 students (with students split into four groups of 10 learning in two conference rooms) to allow ample hands-on instruction and individualized education with the goal that every student develops the knowledge and skills necessary to begin performing these procedures at their respective institutions. The course is taught by six procedural expert instructors to improve the one-on-one hands-on experience for our students. The max student-to-faculty ratio is 6:1.

During the day, students will learn about ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement, landmark-guided and ultrasound-guided central line placement, arterial line placement, and point-of-care ultrasound including the E-FAST exam, RUSH exam, limited echocardiography, vascular ultrasound, chest ultrasound, spine ultrasound, tube thoracostomy, pigtail catheter placement for pneumothorax evacuation, needle decompression, ultrasound-guided thoracentesis, lumbar puncture, ultrasound-guided paracentesis, basic airway management, endotracheal intubation, intermediate airway placement (LMA and King tube placement), stylet-guided intubations, video laryngoscopy, and basic suturing.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Cancellations 30 days or more prior to a course

Customers are entitled to a refund of the registration amount minus a $100 processing fee or 100% credit towards a future course.

Cancellations 15-29 days prior to a course

Customers are entitled to a 50% refund of the registration amount minus a $100 processing fee or a 75% credit towards a future course.

Cancellations 8-14 days prior to a course

Customers are entitled to a 25% refund of the registration amount minus a $100 processing fee or a 50% credit towards a future course.

Cancellations less than 7 days prior to a course

No refunds or credits will be given, including for “no shows” or for natural disasters or for travel-related or weather-related issues which are out of our control.

In the event of an emergency involving hospitalization of student or death of an immediate family member (spouse or children only – accompanied by supporting documentation)

HPC will offer 100% credit towards a future course (minus a $100 processing fee) in the event of an emergency which includes the hospitalization of a student or death/hospitalization of an immediate family member (spouse or children only) during the week prior to a course. Any other illness or injury will be treated according to our standard cancellation policies. HPC does not provide credit or refunds because of natural disasters, weather-related problems or travel-related delays that are out of our control. To obtain future course credit, please email our company supporting documentation of the above-mentioned emergencies.

Cancellation can be initiated via email, and the categorization of the cancellation is determined by the date the notice is received by the HPC staff.

Cancellation of Courses

If HPC cancels a course, a full refund of the registration amount will be issued. Hospital Procedures Consultants is NOT responsible for any registrant travel or accommodation expenses.

Sold out courses

Hospital Procedures Consultants maintains a maximum capacity for our courses so that each participant has ample time for hands-on training. If courses are sold out, please notify our staff if you would like to be on the waiting list should a cancellation occur.
