Description:
This year we have developed a brand new conference program to arm delegates with the cross-disciplinary skills that make a real difference to everyday practice, across the full spectrum of primary care. Choose from a range of Accredited Learning Module (ALMs) and over 40 education sessions and masterclasses to give you the skills needed to manage the growing burden of chronic disease in general practice. Plus don't miss our stimulating Keynote sessions!

The program has been developed with a GP focus for 2021, but sessions are open to all primary healthcare professionals to attend. 

ALMs
This year the GPCE Perth 2021 conference program offers three high impact ALMs to choose from, including new Blended QI ALM. Find out more about the what a Blended QI ALM is and the many benefits to GPs. The ALMs run over two days, giving delegates the opportunity to also attend some of the other education sessions running throughout the conference.

Blended Learning QI ALMs
What is a QI ALM?
The GPCE QI ALM (quality improvement accredited learning module) is a 5-hour program which encourages GPs to take a deep dive into the management of a therapeutic area in their practice, with a focus on real behavioural change. GPs are given an opportunity to identify their learning gaps and compare these with a cohort as they embark on practical education, both face-to-face and online. On completion, they will evaluate their own change in behaviour and that of their cohort, to reinforce learning.

How is the QI ALM delivered?
The QI ALM is a 5-hour program, delivered in a blended learning format. After completing a pre-learning activity GPs will engage in 3 hours of practical, face-to-face group learning at a GPCE conference, followed by 2 hours of education online. Finally, a post-activity exercise will allow GPs to evaluate their own behaviour change and that of their cohort.

Why are we delivering a QI ALM through blended learning?
Blended learning which combines face-to-face and online education, allows GPs to engage in the ALM using a more flexible learning approach. GPs can choose from a GPCE conference in Sydney, Perth, Brisbane or Melbourne. Following this, they can complete the online education at their own pace. The blended learning model also allows GPs to choose the QI ALM and other education during a GPCE conference, to give them their full 130 CPD points for the triennium.

CPR training
Take advantage of our CPR (BLS) training sessions taking place over multiple groups across the weekend. These hands-on sessions are based on the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines and are delivered by highly trained paramedics. On completition of the CPR training session, will awarded 5 CPD points (RACGP).
