OVERVIEW

Dallas Imaging and Structural Heart Intervention is organized by Foundation for Advanced Cardiovascular Education and Training (FACET) and will be held from Apr 16 - 17, 2021 at Baylor Scott & White The Heart Hospital - Plano, Plano, Texas, United States of America.

Target Audience:
This program is intended for cardiologists, interventional cardiologists, cardiovascular surgeons, imagers, cardiovascular anesthesiologists, electrophysiologists, sonographers and other health care professionals with a special interest in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of patients with structural heart disease.

Description:
New developments and advances in the management of structural heart diseases, such as transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacement, surgical and transcatheter aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve repair afford benefits to patients who suffer from these condition. It is difficult for frontline providers to keep abreast of changes in new innovative therapeutic procedures, diagnostic methods and new technologies. This one-day program is designed to provide clinicians with a review of selected topics in present day management of patients with structural diseases, emphasizing new innovation in the field, role of echo in clinical practice and guidance for structural heart interventions, and incorporating current guideline and evidence-based principles of practice. Expert faculty will discuss patient selection, screening, and management of mitral, aortic, and tricuspid valve disease.
• Describe the role of echo in quantification of valvular heart disease
• Discuss indications for catheter-based therapies, including transcatheter aortic and mitral valve replacement, surgical and transcatheter aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve repair, and transcatheter repair of paravalvular leak
• Optimize selection of imaging modalities to aid in patient selection, clinical decision making, and guidance of procedures for patients with structural heart disease
• Describe the multimodality imaging required for these procedures, including pre-procedural evaluation, patient selection, online guidance, and postprocedual follow-up
• Identify complications of catheter-based therapies for structural heart disease using multimodality imaging techniques and safely manage these complications with various procedural techniques

Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
