North Central Section of the American Urological Association (AUA), Inc. 95th Annual Meeting is organized by North Central Section of the American Urological Association (AUA), Inc. and will be held from Oct 06 - 09, 2021 at Fairmont Chicago - Millennium Park, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.
Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of the 95th Annual Meeting of the NCSAUA, attendees will be able to:
• Apply Evidence Based Medicine (EBM) in urologic practice specifically incorporating AUA Guidelines into daily practice.
• Provide patient centered counseling incorporating a variety of treatment strategies including risks and benefits for treatment of RCC.
• Discuss the role of non-surgical management strategies for the management of advanced malignancies.
• Implement new communications strategies in daily patient interactions.
• Describe the needs that pediatric patients have as they transition into adult clinics.
• Formulate treatment strategies for women who presents with complex urinary incontinence.
• Explain the complex nature of management of patients with gender dysphoria.
• Appropriately manage intraoperative bowel injury at the time of prostatectomy.
• Explain alternative treatment strategies for NMIBC in the time of BCG shortages.
• Integrate new and modified treatments for urinary bladder cancer, prostate cancer, erectile dysfunction, Peyronies disease, infertility, and use of testosterone.
• Explain the role of surgical management of renal/ureteral stone disease.
• Counsel a patient on the role of prostate cryotherapy.
• Identify burnout, microagressions, and implicit bias in themselves as well as the environments that the work.
• Analyze the potential threats to urologic practice and identify possible solutions.
• Improved utilization of PCNL and dusting/fragment techniques for stone disease.
• Counsel patients on 3rd line OAB strategies with a patient centered approach.
