Description:
The McLemore Birdsong Pediatric Conference offers a variety of case-based, clinical practice-oriented lectures and workshops covering a broad range of topics relevant to physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and other providers in pediatric and family practice settings.

Desired outcomes:
As a result of participation in the conference, attendees will be able to:
• Discuss and give evidence-based advice on controversial topics including the pediatrician’s role in supporting breastfeeding and the
“tongue tied” child, and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS).
• Apply current thinking in the diagnosis and management of pediatric menstrual disorders, otitis media, and teenage ADHD.
• Learn how to use physical therapy and home care strategies to address pediatric neck and back pain.
• Provide strategies to help parents cope with anger, aggression, and autism-related behavioral problems.
• Utilize the latest clinical guidelines for the management of pediatric food allergy and the workup of hematuria and proteinuria.
