SLAS2020 International Conference & Exhibition is organized by the Society for Laboratory Automation and Screening (SLAS). The session will be held from Jan 25 - 29, 2020 at San Diego Convention Center, San Diego, California, United States of America.
Short Courses: Jan 25 - 26, 2020
Main Conference: Jan 27 - 29, 2020
Exhibition: Jan 27 - 29, 2020
Description:
SLAS bestows valuable educational experiences to life science professionals who are working at the convergence of applied and basic scientific research. SLAS session will help the innovative researchers and engineers veer the laboratory analysis by enhancing the power of technology. Elevate your skills, gain expertise and build your network in this thriving global community.
The session includes keynotes on 10 scientific tracks that address future-looking scientific topics like CRISPR-tailored cellular assays, patient-specific disease models, label-free bioanalytics, single-cell analysis, and microfluidic devices, miniaturization, AI-impacted imaging, DNA-encoded libraries, organs-on-chips, and “off-the-shelf” CAR-T therapies.
SLAS2020 Educational Tracks:
The SLAS2020 scientific program features ten educational tracks, listed below:
• Advances in Bioanalytics and Biomarkers
• Assay Development and Screening
• Automation and High-Throughput Technologies
• Biologics Discovery
• Cellular Technologies
• Data Analysis and Informatics
• Drug Target Strategies
• Micro- and Nanotechnologies
• Molecular Libraries
• Precision Medicine Technologies
Short Courses:
Attend at least one of our 22 full or half-day pre-conference sessions. Short Courses are designed for in-depth instructions on the critical issues faced by the laboratory science and technology community. This year’s show pioneers include a 3D printing demonstration, streamlining your lab with Python, data analytics with KNIME, introduction to the advanced flow cytometry, biophysical methods in small molecule drug discovery and much more.
New Short Courses For 2020:
Streamlining Your Laboratory with Python, an Introduction: This introductory course will teach you the basics of Python programming and its usage to solve tasks that are usually encountered in a scientific laboratory. Topics covered include data handling, analysis and report generation, and task automation.
Data Analytics with KNIME: This full-day course will introduce you to the use of the open-source software KNIME for data analysis and data visualization. Learn the basics of KNIME such as how to load data, select rows and columns, aggregate data and visualization techniques. Then get an introduction into multi-variate analysis and learn how to calculate various correlations, normalize data, build cluster data and use machine learning to analyze biological data.
Additional details will be posted as soon as information is available.
