Who Should Attend:
The PAGS annual CME conference is designed for gynecologists, Ob/Gyns, residents in OB/GYN, and subspecialty fellows and Advanced Practice Health Clinicians. Residents are welcome at reduced rates.
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this 3 day educational conference, participants should be able to:
• Recognize key anatomic and physiological principles involved in the treatment of pelvic disorders.
• Identify strategies for avoiding and managing urogynecologic and laparoscopic surgical complications.
• Apply techniques and principles in surgery through hands-on experience.
• Recognize the most appropriate routes of surgical and non-surgical routes for various gynecological conditions.
• Explain the most recent developments in robotic-assisted, laparoscopic, hysteroscopic and open surgery for myomectomy, vulvar and vaginal disorders, endometriosis, hysterectomy, pelvic floor repair and vaginal hysterectomy with oophorectomy.
• Describe current tissue extraction/retrieval techniques.
• Discuss nuances, indications, and techniques for single port and vaginal hysterectomy and "conventional" laparoscopy vs. robotic surgery.
• Describe the role of hysteroscopic surgery, including electrosurgical and mechanical techniques.
• Describe current management of chronic pelvic pain in women
