Our Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) classes are taught by emergency medical professionals. PALS participants will learn to systematically assess a patient, identify the problem, and deliver dynamic team-based resuscitation and systems of care that will improve pediatric patient outcome from serious illness and injury.
American Heart Association (AHA) Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is an advanced, instructor-led course for healthcare professionals who direct or participate in the management of critically ill or injured infants and children. Providers will learn and enhance skills in the treatment of pediatric arrest and periarrest patients through active participation in a series of simulated pediatric emergencies and small group skills stations. Important concepts of a systematic approach to pediatric assessment, basic life support, PALS treatment algorithms, and effective resuscitation team dynamics will be learned in the course.
