About the Course:
This course focuses on the concepts of communication, therapeutic intervention, decision-making and role development as they relate to the nursing process. Techniques of assessment of the physical and psychological dimensions of the individual and family are explored. Basic but essential interpretation of assessment finding and appropriate intervention is stressed. Emphasis is placed on developing critical thinking in the arenas of therapeutic interventions of safety, prevention, and communication.
