New Anaesthetic Registrars Crisis Management (NARCM) Course 2020 by CCDHB

New Anaesthetic Registrars Crisis Management (NARCM) Course is organized by Capital & Coast District Health Board (CCDHB) and will be held from May 21 - 22, 2020 at The Simulation & Skills Centre, NewTown, Wellington, New Zealand.

Target audience:
This course is aimed at SHOs or Registrars with a minimum of 3 months anesthesia experience, who have recently progressed beyond level 1 supervision and are about to participate in a call roster with level 4 (out of hospital) supervision

Course information:
This 2-day practical workshop is aimed at improving crisis management skills for junior registrars.

The course will cover some common and/or life-threatening anesthesia-related emergencies such as
• failed intubation
• anaphylaxis
• high airway pressures
• obstetric emergencies
• PACU and ED presentations
• Principles of effective teamwork and communication will also be covered.
