OVERVIEW

This conference has been CANCELLED.

National Research Summit on Care, Services, and Supports for Persons with Dementia and Their Caregivers Course is organized by National Institute on Aging (NIA) and will be held from Mar 24 - 25, 2020 at Natcher Conference Center, Bethesda, Maryland, United States of America.

Description:
The goal of the Summit is to bring together individuals with a variety of backgrounds to identify evidence-based programs, strategies, approaches, and other research that can be used to improve the care, services, and supports of persons with dementia and their caregivers.

What types of research are still needed to understand the impact of dementia and improve the care, services, and supports of persons with dementia and their caregivers? This summit differs from other Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias summits as it is focused on research to improve the quality of care and outcomes across care settings, including the lived experience of persons with dementia and their caregivers, rather than on biomedical research or pharmacological interventions. The primary outcome of the Summit is to elicit recommendations for research priorities in these areas to help inform federal agencies, foundations, and private sector organizations.
