Description:
MSKUS Cadaver Courses provide two days of intensive and interactive learning– taught by highly trained faculty - that you can put to immediate use in your practice. The courses are designed to provide you with the proper training essential to perform consistent and high- quality examinations and ultrasound guided injections.
Participants will be placed in small groups (1:4 faculty to attendee ratio) to learn and practice interventional and diagnostic ultrasound techniques and ultrasound guidance for joint injections. Cadavers will be used for hands-on practice.
Educational Objectives:
At the conclusion of the course, attendees should be able to:
• Understand basic MSK anatomy pertinent to ultrasound
• Perform basic MSK ultrasound exams of the major joints of the upper/lower extremity
• Identify advantages/disadvantages of MSK ultrasound as an imaging modality
• Recognize the main MSK ultrasound imaging pitfalls and artifacts
• Become familiar with the spectrum of MSK ultrasound-guided interventional procedures
