8th Infection Control Africa Network (ICAN) Congress is organized by Europa Organisation Africa (EOA) and will be held from Aug 23 - 26, 2020 at Century City Conference Centre, Cape Town, Western Cape, South Africa.

Description:
This year's theme is “IPC and Patient Safety”. Our programme will explore the essential role of IPC in ensuring Patient Safety during Healthcare. Our emphasis will be on the efforts being made to prevent disease transmission in healthcare. Our programme will lay emphasis on “One Health” approach to AMR, antimicrobial stewardship, outbreak management, viral haemorrhagic fevers, Education and training programmes, Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WaSH), surveillance, and Hygiene, surgical site infections. This year we will have a 2-day workshop following the congress, in collaboration with GOARN to prepare IPC professionals for outbreak response.
