This AOCMF course teaches the core concepts necessary to treat acute facial trauma.
The target group of this training are surgeons who have completed specialist training as well as assistant doctors who are involved in the treatment of facial trauma
This AOCMF course provides the concepts needed to treat fractures of the skull, face and mandible and the most common complications. The course format includes a combination of lectures, practical exercises and discussions in small groups. The first day is devoted to midface fractures, possible complications and their prevention. On the second day, the focus is on the treatment of mandibular fractures, including diagnostics and treatment concepts.

• Diagnosing facial injuries through history, clinical, and radiological examination
• Formulate a treatment plan (operative and non-operative)
• Implement a specific treatment plan
• Adjust a treatment plan if necessary
• Plan follow-up visits and rehabilitation
• Identify and treat complications
