Overall Educational Objectives:
The AHPBA Annual Meeting has been structured around various tracks, representing the liver, pancreas, biliary system and transplant. At the conclusion of the Annual Meeting of the AHPBA, the Association expects its attendees to have gained knowledge and skills that will lead to changes or enhancements in their own practices and improve physician training. The AHPBA expects that the Scientific Program’s educational interventions will result in measurable improvements in patient care. The theme of this year’s meeting is to “2020 Vision – Focus on Evidence and Integrated Care”. Following the meeting attendees should have a better understanding of:
• Learning to work up and manage bile duct injuries
• Developing an understanding of the diagnosis and management of cholangiocarcinoma, including surgical and medical management
• Describing the role of molecular testing, and immunotherapy HPB malignancies
