40th European Workshop for Rheumatology Research (EWRR) is organized by Catholic University of Leuven / Katholieke Universiteit (KU) Leuven and will be held from Feb 13 - 16, 2020 at KU Leuven University Hall, Leuven, Flemish Brabant, Belgium.
Description:
The EWRR is built on a strong tradition and remains a unique event in the Rheumatology world. The spirit of the meeting is to foster the discussion of great science in an informal environment, favoring debate and adequate feedback for the presenters. For decades, EWRR has contributed to the scientific development in Rheumatology, by providing a friendly and interactive forum for the exchange of cutting science in the field. It has been particularly fruitful for clinical trainees as well as basic and translational researchers. We will combine educational and state-of-the-art lectures by leading experts, with outstanding abstracts presented as short oral communications. Adequate time will be dedicated to poster visits and discussion, creating valuable opportunities for scientific and personal networking.
No other meeting in Rheumatology holds EWRR’s potential of directing interactions between the leaders in the field and early career researchers. For many well-known rheumatologists and leading researchers, EWRR has been the starting point of building a network and career. EWRR is the forum by excellence for young scientists to present their work and receive feedback from senior researchers.
EWRR also has a great tradition of friendship. Leuven is an international, historic and bustling student town. For centuries it has been a welcoming town for scientist to come together, learn and improve. Today’s city is more international than ever and offers great opportunities for exciting days and a vibrant night-life. We guarantee that both those that join us for the first time as well as those that attended many workshops will have a magnificent time.
