The Association for Positive Behavior Support (APBS) accreditated this symposium for up to 23.5 continuing education unit hours (3.5 hours for March 11th, 16.5 hours for Match 12th & 13th, and 3.5 hours for a half-day workshop). An attendee can claim only those credit hours that were actually spent in the educational activity (session, workshop, poster session).

Description
The 17th International Conference on Positive Behavior Support will emphasize over 200 oral presentations, posters, pre-conference and skill-building workshops that present the empirical findings, assessment and intervention methods, current topics, and other aspects of Positive Behavior Support.

Objectives
• Obtain the knowledge of research-based approaches that integrate with the applied behavior analysis and biomedical science with person-centered assessments and systems reform to enhance the quality of life and reduce the problem behavior
• Recognize the practical importance of positive behavior support in a variety of places including schools, early childhood, mental health, child welfare settings, and in organizations that provide services to adults with intellectual or other disabilities;
• Explain the current and futuristic research on positive behavior support for a diverse  population and settings
• Extend specific knowledge about the areas of positive behavior support that fosters the questioning about the field and its purposes and methods
• Develop the perspective on problems/goals and PBS intervention policies by improving the knowledge (unspoken understandings) about the field of positive behavior support and
• Intensify the understanding of the key elements and related factors in the positive behavior support process from an individual to a system-level perspective
