Orthopaedics for the Primary Care Practitioner & Rehabilitation Therapist is organized by Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education (FORE) and will be held from Jul 26 - 28, 2019 at Sandpearl Resort, Clearwater Beach, Florida, United States of America.

Target Audience:
Primary care practitioners, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, physical therapists, occupational therapists, athletic trainers, and any allied healthcare professional whose scope of practice or profession includes orthopaedics.

FORE is accredited by the accreditation council for continuing medical education to provide continuing medical education for physicians. 
FORE designates this live activity for a maximum of 18.75 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity. 

Physical Therapists: Approval Pending from The Florida Board of Physical Therapy

Athletic Trainers:
Foundation for Orthopaedic Research and Education is recognized by the Board of Certification, inc. to offer continuing education for certified athletic trainers. This program has been approved for 18.75 hours of Category A continuing education. Certified athletic trainers are responsible for claiming only those hours spent participating in the CE activity.

Course Description:
A distinguished faculty will present recent advances in trauma and fracture fixation, arthritis management, joint reconstruction, treatment of sports-related conditions, spine surgery, hand and upper extremity evaluation and management, and physical therapy. Participants will be given ample time for interactive discussions and opportunities to interact with faculty, plus hands-on workshops.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Review common musculoskeletal ailments
• Discuss updates in treating common orthopaedic injuries
• Assess appropriate diagnostic imaging tests
• Evaluate indications for referral to a specialist with regard to hip & knee disorders
• Develop new approaches to relieve pain and improve function; specifically the painful shoulder
• Evaluate existing therapies to enhance treatment
