In the past decade, digital dentistry has emerged as disruptive innovation that has changed almost everything in dentistry from intraoral scanning, in office restoration/prosthetic fabrication, dental laboratory workflow to implant dentistry.
This first VCU Digital Dentistry Symposium aims to
1) update current and review contemporary techniques in digital dentistry,
2) discuss innovative materials in CAD/CAM dentistry, and
3) summarize and present current digital workflow in a dental office.
Objectives:
• Recognize advantages and limitations as well as applications of intraoral scanners
• Learn current workflow in CAD/CAM dentistry for fixed prosthodontic applications
• Learn process and technology in CAD/CAM complete denture fabrication
• Learn digital workflow for guided implant surgery using in office 3D printing
