Course Outline:
Five half-day morning sessions Sunday thru Friday, with a full day off on Wednesday. Course includes didactic lectures, case reviews and faculty panel questions & discussion.
This breast imaging course is designed for both the clinical radiologist who specializes in breast imaging and the radiologist who has general diagnostic clinical duties. A practical approach will be emphasized, providing an overview and update on clinically relevant topics in breast imaging.
The course will highlight recent developments, with a strong focus on the use of multimodality imaging and intervention (mammography, ultrasound, MRI and tomosynthesis).
Course Objectives:
At the completion of this course, the attendee should be able to:
• Apply and utilize BI-RADS categories as appropriate;
• Develop a skillful and practical approach to performing and interpreting mammography and breast US;
• Understand and implement the growing use of MRI and Tomosynthesis in the clinical setting;
• Facilitate compliance with reporting guidelines and management of patient follow-up, including cancer screening and current breast density requirements.
