Course Description:
Neurosurgery is still very much neglected in theoretical and practical training. Therefore, the training in this subject is not only for beginners but also for newcomers difficult and often tedious. This is even more the case for new or not routinely used techniques, such as neuroendoscopy.

Therefore, this course offers a comprehensive and structured training, further education and training for the field of neuroendoscopy and minimally invasive neurosurgery by a long-term experienced team of nurses and doctors.

In neurosurgical procedures, a well-rehearsed and smooth process is particularly important due to the high vulnerability and vital function of the affected structures as well as the complexity of the anatomy. This can only be achieved by a particularly good cooperation between nurse and doctor. The more the surgeon is supported and the secondary processes, such as the preparation and monitoring of complex techniques, decreases, the more intensively the concentration on the actual operation succeeds. And that is exactly the goal of the offered course.

In addition to relevant theoretical information, the workshop modules offer the opportunity and sufficient time to familiarize yourself with the instruments, endoscopes and new techniques. It is also offered to simulate special operations on fixed preparations. Nurses take over the medical part in order to gain an even better understanding of the procedure and its special challenges.
