Course Description:
The essentials of a family practice, particular to the child and adolescents. This introduction to family care provides an overview of the techniques, adaptations, and considerations for the chiropractic care of children. Learn to address parental concerns and how to deliver a positive experience for both the parent and child.
Technique overview for children: full-spine and upper cervical. Analysis: motion and postural. Demonstration of various chiropractic exam techniques and the application. Adjustment: diversified, low force adaptations for children. Webster coronal suture and infant toggle piece.
Course Goals:
This course will provide you with an approach to creating a family practice by eliminating fear, increasing education, initiating subluxation analysis and techniques to care for children and adolescents. You will learn education methods for the adults that will aid in referrals of children. You will also be able to recognize and handle potential child abuse situations.
