Course Description :
This seminar is designed to provide a practical yet comprehensive review of genitourinary pathology, with emphasis on prostate and bladder disorders. Basic to advanced techniques, pearls and pitfalls to diagnosis and the advantages of using ancillary diagnostic methods will be discussed.

Course Objectives are :
• Recognize the most important diagnostic challenges in assessing prostate needle biopsies.
• Distinguish PIN-like ductal adenocarcinoma from PIN.
• Distinguish atrophic prostate cancer from benign atrophy.
• Apply a pattern-based approach to the differential diagnosis of bladder cancer.
• Distinguish pseudo hyperplastic prostate cancer from benign hyperplastic glands.
• Discuss diagnostic pitfalls in bladder biopsy and TURBT specimens.
• Name the entities associated with eosinophilic cytoplasm in renal tumors.
• Recognize uncommon variants of urothelial carcinoma in situ.
• Distinguish bladder paraganglioma from urothelial carcinoma.
• Distinguish primary urothelial carcinoma from metastatic lesions.
• Recognize distinguishing features of acquired cystic kidney disease-associated RCC.
• Review key features of HLRCC-RCC.
