The Intestinal Failure and Rehabilitation Conference will highlight and address problematic cases that may present in your practice. This conference will provide you with the tools and information needed to make the right decisions.
Objectives:
• Discuss updates on state of the art nutritional management in patients with short bowel syndrome/intestinal failure.
• Describe surgical strategies for intestinal failure and short bowel syndrome.
• Explain gut microbiome and its role in intestinal failure.
• Review the indications for referral and analyze when to consider intestinal transplantation.
• Define multidisciplinary team approach to intestinal rehabilitation in order to improve outcomes.
