Conference Description:
The program emphasizes hands-on activities and active participation to maximize simulation-based instruction skill acquisition. Class group sizes are kept small to allow for maximum participation. The primary audience for this course are healthcare educators wishing to improve their skills as instructors in simulation education.
Designed for the busy healthcare educator with limited time, the Simulation and Advanced Skills Center Simulation Educator Workshop boasts a blended learning approach that combines customized peer-to-peer and mentor feedback during the online learning followed by an immersive, two-day in person, interactive workshop. About a month prior to the in-person course held at the Simulation Center in Cleveland, Ohio, enrolled participants prepare and submit assignments based on individual schedules. Once on-site, daily formats vary and include small and large group discussions, practical exercises with feedback, and scenario building with practice facilitating a scenario from pre-brief to debrief.
Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
