PRP - The power of an Autologous Procedure is organized by Forever Institut Academy and will be held on Jun 07, 2019 at Forever Institut Academy, Geneva, Switzerland.
Who is this course for?
Plastic surgeons, dermatologists, aesthetic doctors and ophthalmologists
Course Details:
Robert Marx first described PRP in 1998 as a suspension of platelets in plasma, with the platelet concentration being higher than the concentration in the original blood collected. He considered PRP as a valuable source of autologous growth factors useful for bone graft. Since this historical definition, PRP became more popular and has been the subject of increased clinical interest in the aesthetic fields as it is described as an easy, fast and safe (because of its autologous origin) product. Nevertheless, at least 16 commercial platelet separation systems are available today, using variable separation methods.
Authors have shown substantial differences in the content of platelet concentrates produced by the various automated and manual protocols described in the literature. The impact of such differences in PRP characteristics on the regenerative processes is now well described.
What will you learn?

• To use appropriate devices
• Learn how to prepare and control your PRP with both theoretical and practical approaches
• Each participant will be able to prepare a PRP and make the quality control. Results will be compared.
