Pediatric Audiology: Collaborative Care is organized by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) and will be held on Mar 08, 2019 at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America. Overview:
This one-day conference for hearing healthcare professionals will address the importance of family-centered care and collaboration across medical and educational providers. Presenters in child development, behavioral psychology and family advocacy will share research, best practice guidelines and outcomes of children with hearing loss. Case studies highlighting how audiologists can foster collaborative care will also be discussed.

Objectives:
• Define family-centered care and its relation to families of children with hearing loss.
• List three (3) indicators of a developmental disability and identify when to refer for an evaluation.
• Identify three (3) stakeholders when forming interdisciplinary teams for children with hearing loss.
• Describe two (2) strategies to use with patients who choose not to use their voice during appointments
• List five (5) signs of pediatric anxiety disorders and identify when to refer for an evaluation.
• Describe how family-centered care improves longitudinal outcomes of children with hearing loss.
