OVERVIEW

Optimizing the Journey of the Immuno-Oncology Patient: An Interprofessional Educational Initiative is organized by Global Oncology Academy (GOA) and will be held on May 10, 2019 at The King's Fund, London, England, United Kingdom.

Target Audience:
This activity is designed to meet the needs of medical oncologists, surgical oncologists, radiation oncologists, oncology nurses, oncology pharmacists, general practitioners, emergency medicine physicians and emergency nurses. Others involved in the care of oncology patients who receive immunotherapy are also encouraged to participate.

Course Overview:
The care of the patients can involve ongoing treatment oversight, management of adverse events, and caring for co- and multi-morbid conditions. In order to help educate the healthcare professionals who may encounter these patients, IC-ONC, a global community of learning was formed.

You are invited to join this community of learners and to attend this complimentary half-day educational initiative designed to help improve the interprofessional care of these patients. The content for this educational activity was developed by a group of global experts representing the specialties and professions involved in the care of these patients, and local expert faculty, Dr. Peter Schmid and Farah Lim, will use engaging and interactive techniques to address best practices in caring for these patients.

Your participation in this unique educational initiative automatically registers you as a part of this global learning community and will allow you to access a variety of educational resources. There will be ongoing follow-up by and access to the expert faculty to help incorporate the learning into practice.

Program Topics:
• Optimizing Immuno-oncology Therapy Through the Management of Adverse Event.
• Tumor Mutational Burden and Microsatellite Instability.
• Biomarkers for Immunotherapies Across Tumor Types.

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
