Course description:
This course is aimed at therapy assistants and technicians working in neurorehabilitation.
It will focus on improving handling skills and increasing understanding of therapeutic interventions for improving arm and hand function. The course will include theory and practical sessions exploring movement control, function, and independence. Common presentations affecting the arm will be explored.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course the participants will be able to:
• Demonstrate a better understanding of the anatomy and movement control of the arm
• Demonstrate a better understanding of why common clinical issues arise
• Improve practical skills and confidence in aiding management and rehabilitation of the arm and hand
• Develop an understanding of how to help the patient to include their arm in function.
