Minimalist TF-TAVI Workshop (Nov 2019)

Minimalist TF-TAVI Workshop is organized by Medical Training Center (MTC) and will be held from Nov 27 - 29, 2019 at Medical Training Center, Rouen, Haute-Normandie, France.

Course details:
To address the demand of many colleagues wishing to assess the feasibility and safety of the simplified strategy with us, we have started a series of interactive workshops based on live video- transmission of « minimalist transfemoral-TAVI cases » using the SAPIEN 3 valve, with “hands-on” experience. End-points: patient selection and procedural tips and tricks.

Live cases will be transmitted from the Department of Cardiology of the Rouen University Hospital Charles Nicolle to our Medical Training Center located at a walking distance.

Hands-on experience will be provided with work on the electronic simulator, on CT-imaging in our radiology lab, on TAVI devices and closure devices. Furthermore, 2 participants will be scrubbing with us in the cath-lab for each live case (appointed by drawing lots)

Accreditation:
This programme is accredited by the European Board for Accreditation in Cardiology (EBAC) for 10 hours of external CME credits. Each participant should claim only those hours that have actually been spent in the educational activity. EBAC works according to the quality standards of the European Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (EACCME), which is an institution of the European Union of Medical Specialists (UEMS).

In compliance with EBAC / EACCME guidelines, all speakers/chairpersons participating in this programme have disclosed or indicated potential conflicts of interest which might cause a bias in the presentations. The Course Director is responsible for ensuring that all potential conflicts of interest relevant to the event are declared to the audience prior to the CME activities.

• observe live cases of Transfemoral TAVI using the “minimalist strategy
• prevention and management of complications
• Get 10 hours of external CME credits by EBAC

Who is this course for?
Preferentially but not limited to interventional cardiologists already trained on TAVI, wishing to get additional information on the « minimalist TF approach », based on the observation of live cases.
