Target Audience:
This 2 day course is designed for plastic surgery trainees of all levels/experience and for those who seek an introduction to soft tissue dissection and microsurgery.

Course Description:
The focus of free flap surgery training so far has been micro-surgical skills. At Surgical-Art, we believe that flap dissection and tissue handling is an equally fundamental skill. 

The flap dissection component and the porcine models used are exclusive to Surgical-Art. Participants will be introduced to basic and advanced tissue handling skills to identify, preserve and dissect the perforator/neuro-vascular pedicle of a flap. Microsurgery will be demonstrated using intra and extra vascular digital microscopy. The intravascular visualisation is a unique technique conceived and developed at Surgical-Art. It will provide the participants with a clear understanding of the surgical goals of microsurgery from every perspective.
