Professor Ian Brighthope - Nutrition Care Pharmaceuticals
Ian is an Australian doctor with an interest in medical cannabis as a treatment option. He is also the founding president of the Australian College of Nutritional and Environmental Medicine and Founder of Nutrition Care Pharmaceuticals Pty. Ltd., a TGA licensed manufacturer of Complementary and Herbal Medicines that has developed markets in China, SE Asia and India. Has a sound appreciation of the scientific basis of herbal medicines, their cultivation, breeding, composition, extraction, GMP manufacturing to PICS standards and their clinical use. Interested in the development of the Cannabis industry in Australia from plant to patient, with a particular emphasis on its responsible prescription, Ian will present the evidence of its benefits from an experiential perspective in cancer patient care, pain management, treatment of addictions and inflammatory disorders.

Sebastian Funke Kupper
Sebastian is a Dutch born Australian Engineer who has been researching medical cannabis and how to best concentrate its compounds. He’s completed extensive literature reviews in conjunction with the Swinburne University of Technology in Melbourne Australia, and designed product solutions for safe at home extraction during his Honours capstone year. He worked in the US, California to prototype, test and patent a world first solvent-less extraction technology. He is particularly interested in Full Spectrum Medical Cannabis because of the proven benefits when the extract retains micro-cannabinoids and terpenes. His passion is to facilitate solutions to an improved range of cannabis products through Engineering and Design innovation.

Stephanie Robinson, PhD -  Director of Global Scientific Affairs at CannaLife
Highly educated and experienced neuroscientist with expertise in cannabis & endocannabinoids. I've had a range of roles following the completion of my PhD and Grad Cert in Commercialising Research at Monash University, including broad experience in healthcare ranging from; sales, marketing and business management; project management & clinical pathway design & implementation. I am passionate about promoting the use of medicinal cannabis in the Australian market in both the commercial sense & from a clinical & scientific research perspective.

Jason Jordan - Prescribed Patient
Jason was diagnosed with Primary Progressive Multiple Sclerosis 3 years ago. He was deteriorating fast and had reached the point of being unable to walk without an aid.  Short-term memory loss, balance issues, numbness, double-vision, insomnia, cognition impairment, anomic aphasia, peripheral & trigeminal neuralgia all became part of daily life because conventional medicines did very little to help. Jason was the first patient in WA to receive Medical Cannabis and says that it changed his life.
