OVERVIEW

Inaugural Emerging Technologies in Joint Replacement is organized by International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR) and will be held from Feb 07 - 09, 2019 at Hutton Hotel, Nashville, Tennessee, United States of America.?

Course Description:

When a new technology for joint replacement is introduced, how do you sift through the hype to determine if it’s right for your patients? If only short-term data are available, how will you know if a technologic advance is a good long-term solution in your practice? How do you convince your hospital to make the investment in technology that has the potential to reduce costs by improving outcomes?

Find out at ICJR’s inaugural Emerging Technologies in Joint Replacement meeting, February 7-9, 2019, at the Hutton Hotel Nashville, Nashville, Tennessee, where we will answer these questions – and much more – with sessions that will provide insights on:

• Assessing the pros and cons of new technologies
• Participating in technology evaluations at your hospital
• Developing a cost/benefit analysis for your department chair
• Introducing a new technology to your team
• Adapting a new technology to your workflow
• Evaluating the role of technology in improving your patient outcomes
• Integrating technology into your office

Led by course chairs Cory Calendine, MD, and Arthur L. Malkani, MD, our faculty – all of whom have played a central role in bringing advanced technologies to their ORs – will share their experiences with a variety of technologies used in hip and knee replacement, including:

• Robotics
• Computer navigation
• Intraoperative sensors
• Patient-specific instruments
• Customized implants

In addition to didactic presentations, debates, and case-based panels, we’ll have live surgeries so you can see some of these technologies in action – and ask questions of the operating surgeons in real time.

Additional details will be posted as soon as they are available.
