European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO) Summer School 2019

EANO Summer School 2019 is organized by European Association of Neuro-Oncology (EANO) and will be held from Jul 25 - 27, 2019 at Langenbeck-Virchow-Haus, Berlin, Germany.

Participants:
The EANO Summer School is intended for physicians from all disciplines managing brain tumor patients including nurses, researchers, technicians and allied health professionals with an interest in molecular diagnostic. Participants must be EANO members, with a focus on young EANO members, the selection is based on a first-come/first serve basis.

Description:
The organizing committee has produced an exciting and comprehensive 2-day program. Molecular tests have entered the WHO Classification for Brain Tumors in the recent update. Researchers, clinicians from all disciplines and other caregivers are confronted with an increasing number of molecular parameters also for prognosis, decisions on precision medicine and if trials are discussed. These molecular parameters are relevant for traditional alkylating drugs (MGMT), do play a key role in the understanding of immunotherapies and are demanded by most patients that are counseled. Furthermore, EANO aims at fostering integration of these markers not only as a concept and scientifically, but also by practical part of every day’s work of a neuro-oncologist. 

The EANO Summer School, dedicated to EANO Youngsters, aims to provide up-to-date educational content on the rapidly developing molecular neuropathology for primary brain tumors with a focus on glial neoplasms, tumors in adults and both, basic generation of data, implementation and clinical implications.
The educational event is aimed to attract physicians from all disciplines managing brain tumor patients including nurses, researchers, technicians and allied health professionals with an interest in molecular diagnostics,

The main target groups are young EANO and EURO-CNS members, especially junior staff from all over Europe.
