Core Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery Course 2019

Core Skills in Laparoscopic Surgery Course is organized by Surgical Skills Centre - University of Dundee and will be held from Jun 06 - 07, 2019 at University of Dundee School of Medicine, Dundee City, Scotland, United Kingdom.

This is an intensive, two-day course focusing on the core skills required for safe laparoscopic surgical practice. The course has been carefully designed to maximise hands-on experience whilst in our centre. The course is equally suitable for the junior surgeon starting out in minimal access surgery and for the more senior surgeon who is either new to laparoscopy or wishes to refresh their core skills.

Course content:
Day one
Camera and scope manipulation, abdominal access and insufflation, ergonomics, sharp and blunt dissection, clip application electrosurgery, looping, tissue extraction, and port site closure.

Day two
Diagnostic laparoscopy, laparoscopic appendicectomy, and laparoscopic cholecystectomy
