OVERVIEW

Core Skills: ENT Facial Plastic Surgery Workshop is organized by The University of Western Australia (UWA) and will be held on Nov 16, 2019 at CTEC - Clinical Training and Evaluation Centre, Perth, Western Australia, Australia.

The target audience for this medical event is RACS Surgical Trainees, Registrars, Fellows and Junior Consultants in ENT and Plastic Surgery. Limited Observer positions and assistant Theatre Nurse positions are also available. This workshop follows on from the Core Skills: ENT Sinus Surgery workshop the day prior.

Conference Description:
This conference will provide ENT and Plastic Surgery trainees with increased operative experience and the opportunity to consolidate knowledge and skills in a range of techniques in facial plastic surgery.

This hands-on cadaveric workshop will reinforce knowledge of anatomy and provides the opportunity to practise a range of facial plastic procedures not commonly performed by trainees in clinical practice.

Hands-on dissection and pairing of participants of similar skill levels enables discussion and group learning under expert supervision.

Conference Objectives:
Demonstration and Practical Cadaveric Sessions
The workshop will feature a comprehensive highly practical full-day program. It features demonstrations followed by extensive cadaveric practical sessions focusing on the following procedures:
• Blepharoplasty - upper and lower
• Otoplasty - anatomy and assessment. Mustardy suturing and anterior scoring
• Rhinoplasty
• Facial flaps - forehead and cheek
• Chin Implant
• Facelifts and Endobrow lift.
