Clinical Updates in Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition Hawaii 2019 is organized by John A. Burns School of Medicine (JABSOM) University of Hawaii at Manoa and will be held from Jan 25 - 27, 2019 at The Modern Honolulu, Honolulu, Hawaii, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is Practicing Gastroenterologists, Endoscopists, Surgeons, Fellows, Primary Care Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, GI Nurses, and Techs. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 15.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Course Description:
This course focuses on state-of-the-art topics in gastroenterology, hepatology, GI imaging, and endoscopic procedures including hands-on demonstrations of endoscopic stent placement, feeding tube placement, Barrett’s ablation and mucosalresection and other advanced techniques. The course targets Gastroenterology practitioners, GI endoscopists, GI fellows, GI mid-level providers and GI surgeons.There will also be a dedicated session (including hands-on experiences) specifically for GI nurses and technicians. Difficult clinical problems and the roles of new techniques will be covered using lectures, video, and hands-on demonstrations. The faculty members are nationally recognized experts in their respective fields in gastroenterology, hepatology and endoscopy. This course is sponsored by the University of Hawaii and University of Utah Health Divisions of Gastroenterology. It includes invited renown experts in a collegial personal atmosphere that encourages one on one interaction and unique hands-on and video educational experiences.

Educational Objectives:
• I will apply the most up to date guidelines and expert recommendations on endoscopic procedures and clinic management of gastrointestinal and hepatology patients.
• I will use the hands on training learned at the course including advanced endoscopic procedures and techniques and apply them in my practice.
• I will be able to understand the pathophysiology of common inflammatory diseases of the GI tract and liver and apply state of the art treatments for those patients.
