Description:
This course is designed as a multi-professional introduction to the principles and practice of paediatric radiotherapy.

It is aimed at trainees and consultants in clinical oncology, paediatric oncologists, therapy radiographers, radiotherapy physicists, nurses and anyone else with a professional interest in this specialist field.

At the end of the course, attendees should have an understanding of:
• the multi-professional team required to deliver radiotherapy to children and young people
• the various types of radiotherapy, and why they are used
• the range of diseases for which radiotherapy is indicated in this age group including risk stratification, patient selection and the integration of radiotherapy with systemic therapy.
• outcomes and long term consequences of treatment
