Course Description:
This course is designed for Critical Care RNs wishing to advance their knowledge base regarding care of the neurocritical patient. This event is open to both Providence- and non-Providence employed nurses - specifically those who work in critical care, emergency and acute care stroke.

Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the participant will be able to:
• Describe the management and complications of subarachnoid hemorrhage and intracerebral hemorrhage.
• Discuss the new time frame for the care of an acute stroke patient with large vessel occlusion.
• Discuss post-operative management of neurosurgical cases.
• Review skull base surgery and craniotomy for tumors.
• Review types of epilepsy surgery.
• Understand the patient and family perspective of life after hospital discharge.
