Educational Objectives :
At the completion of the meeting, attendees should:
• Understand normal maturational changes of the nervous system from the fetus through childhood
• Understand the diagnostic nuances of neonatal brain injury
• Know the current recommendations for management of emergent pediatric cerebrovascular disorders
• Be aware of emerging considerations to practice changes in pediatric neuroradiology regarding sedation, contrast administration, protocoling, and performing CT/MR
• Know what new and advanced neuroimaging techniques are available in the clinical and research setting
• Be aware of how artificial intelligence and machine learning are being incorporated into diagnostic neuroimaging as part of precision medicine in the pediatric setting
• Be able to identify neuroimaging signs concerning for abusive head trauma and communicate findings effectively to clinicians and in the courtroom
• Understand the changes to the diagnosis and nomenclature of pediatric neurologic disease processes as a result of advances in molecular genetics
• Understand CSF production and reabsorption in children and what pathologic conditions contribute to increased intracranial pressure
• Review the imaging evaluation of commonly encountered head, neck, and spine disorders
