Target Audience:
This course is specifically designed to meet the educational needs of gastroenterologists, surgeons, internal medicine physicians, and primary care physicians (ABIM MOC Points), physician assistants, advanced practice nurses, as well as internal medicine residents and fellows.

Course Description:
Keeping in with the long tradition of teaching excellence at the Division of Digestive Diseases and Nutrition, this course has been developed with special focus to the educational needs of health care professionals associated with the rapidly evolving specialty of gastroenterology. This one day course addresses today’s burning topics in a lecture and discussion format. A distinguished faculty comprised of USF Gastroenterologist, USF Colorectal Surgeons, Interventional Radiologist, and invited lecturer will present key topics highlighting their current state of practice while providing a projection for the future.

Learning Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, the learner will be able to:
• Apply best management strategies for the treatment of patients with inflammatory bowel disease
• Recognize and manage complex problems in the clinical practice of inflammatory bowel disease
• Describe the extraintestinal manifestations of inflammatory bowel disease including dermatological and hepatobiliary complications.
