Melanoma: From Biology to Target Course is organized by American Association for Cancer Research (AACR) and will be held from Jan 15 - 18, 2019 at JW Marriott Houston, Houston, Texas, United States of America.

The target audience for this medical event is basic, translational and clinical scientists, as well as physicians/practicing oncologists (medical, surgical, radiation) and those engaged in the development and use of new therapeutics. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 18.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s).

Course Description:
This AACR Special Conference on Melanoma: From Biology to Target will cover recent findings in melanoma biology, genetics, drug resistance, immunotherapy, the intersection of the tumor and immune microenvironment, targeting pathways, resistance, and novel therapeutics. The purpose of this timely conference is to bring together experts in this rapidly moving field to discuss the emerging concepts in melanoma biology and therapy, examine their translational importance, and identify areas of focus for further investigation.

Course Objectives:
After participating in this CME activity, physicians should be able to:
• Evaluate new emerging concepts in melanoma biology
• Identify advances made in melanoma pathogenesis and risk
• Assess the contribution of the immune and tumor microenvironment in melanoma
• Evaluate key factors which determine response and resistance to therapy
• Identify and evaluate novel targeted therapies for melanoma
