47th Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) Annual Meeting

47th SNACC Annual Meeting is organized by Society for Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care (SNACC) and will be held from Sep 12 - 14, 2019 at Arizona Grand Resort & Spa, Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America. This Conference has been approved for a maximum of 21.0 credits AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Target Audience:
The SNACC 47th Annual Meeting has been designed to meet the educational needs of neurosurgical and critical care anesthesiologists and neuroscientists involved in the care of patients with neurological disorders and are intended for neurosurgical and critical care anesthesiologists, neuroscientists, faculty, residents, fellows and medical students. The Society supports the attendance by members in the educational sessions of the Annual Meeting. The program is generated from member requests and an assessment of need by the program committee.

Statement of Need:
The 47th Society of Neuroscience in Anesthesiology and Critical Care Annual Meeting brings a program designed to review and update the educational needs and practice gaps of neuroanesthesiologists and neurocritical care specialists who engage in providing care to the neurologically impaired patients / patients at risk of neurologic injury during the perioperative period as well as neuroscientists who research clinical and basic neuroscience. The workshops, seminars, lectures and poster presentations will specifically address new clinical findings essential to improve the care of patients and advance basic and clinical research in neuroscience. Physicians will learn the current standards of the methodology of evaluating the existing clinical evidence/research in neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care and become ready for translation to clinical practice and clinical guidelines. Many clinicians have not been educated on the implementation science. This new science emphasizes how physician adheres to the clinical guidelines to their practice. Physicians will receive the latest discovery on neuroinflammation, technological advancement/new tools used to assess the cerebropathophysiology in the operating room and neurointensive care units. Physicians need to develop consensus on patient safety in complex multilevel spine surgery in geriatric patients.

The program is designed to be useful for both the general anesthesiologist who is occasionally facing a neurologically impaired patient as well as regular neuroanesthesia and neurocritical care specialist.

• Apply the clinical guidelines and how to effectively adhere to the recommendation to manage patients with neurological disorders.
• Manage neurological emergencies guided by the information learned from different modalities of neuromonitoring.
• Discuss recent advances and controversies in neuroanesthesiology practice including an emphasis on patient safety.
• Discuss recent advances and discoveries in neurosciences and their impact on anesthesiology.
