3 Congreso Argentino De Cirugia De La Pared Abdominal / 3rd Argentine Congress of Abdominal Wall Surgery is organized by Argentine Association of Hernias / Asociacion Argentina de Hernias and will be held from Nov 21 - 23, 2019 at Sheraton Libertador Hotel, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Description:
Surgeries for abdominal wall defects are among the most frequent of all surgical centers around the world.

As has been demonstrated in other subspecialties, the results of these interventions improve significantly when performed by surgeons dedicated to an area of specific interest. This is significantly noticeable, in the case of complex incisional hernias, where the surgeon is faced with the possibility to choose between a wide variety of techniques, approaches, prosthetic materials and technologies available today.

More and more surgeons dedicated to the treatment of the pathology of the defects of the abdominal wall, consider that the choice of a technique "tailored to the patient", allows obtaining better results. The correct choice of surgical strategy implies a constant update in the matter.

The main objective of our Congress will be to provide the surgeon with the best available evidence and expert experience on the alternatives available to us.
