24th Annual Vermont Perspectives in Anesthesia is organized by Robert Larner College of Medicine and will be held from Mar 06 - 10, 2019 at The Lodge at Spruce Peak, Stowe, Vermont, United States of America.
The target audience for this medical event is physicians, nurses and other healthcare professionals who serve northern New England. Our live educational activities attract both a regional and national audience. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 23.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Overview:
Please join us for this 24th annual conference which will provide anesthesiologists, nurse anesthetists, and anyone with an interest in the field of anesthesia with practical reviews and timely informative clinical updates on a variety of topics of current interest. Participants will be able to identify and discuss recent developments and trends through comprehensive didactic sessions. Faculty includes recognized experts in their fields, both on a national level and from the University of Vermont. The atmosphere will be friendly and informal and there will be ample time for questions and discussion with faculty and colleagues.
Objectives:
Following this conference, participants attending this course should be able to:
• Review recent data on opioid prescribing.
• Understand current thinking surrounding perioperative fluid therapy, particularly as it relates to Enhanced Recovery Protocols.
• Discuss the unique physiology and pharmacology concerns in the pediatric patient.
• Review current issues in opioid-based pain management.
