2019 SANS Written Boards Review Course

2019 Surgical and Non-Surgical (SANS) Written Boards Review Course is organized by Congress of Neurological Surgeons (CNS) and will be held from Feb 23 - 24, 2019 at Houston Airport Marriott at George Bush Intercontinental, Houston, Texas, United States of America.

Course Description:
The SANS Written Boards Review Course prepares neurosurgery residents for the ABNS Primary Examination (commonly referred to as the Written Boards). Using SANS Subspecialty Modules that were specifically designed for this course, expert faculty cover the breadth of all subspecialty and general neuro topics included on the Written Boards Exam. 

The two-day intensive provides summative didactic sessions with integrated real-time testing covering the breadth of neuroanatomy, neurobiology, neuropathology, neuroimaging, neurology, neurosurgery, critical care, and core competencies—from synaptic physiology to cranial nerve anatomy to complex spine surgery.

Learning Objectives:
Upon Completion of this course, Participants will be able to:
• Describe the surgical and non-surgical management of tumors, vascular malformations, trauma, pain and other pathological processes that effect the nervous system(eg. brain, hypophysis, and spinal cord), the automatic nervous systems, the supporting structures of these systems(e.g intracranial,extracranial, and spinal vasculature) and their histopathology.
• Discuss the use and interpretation of images associated with these conditions.
• Discuss the neurodegenerative processes and their management.
