OVERVIEW

2019 North Carolina Dermatology Association (NCDA) Annual Meeting is organized by North Carolina Dermatology Association (NCDA) and will be held from Jan 11 - 13, 2019 at Pinehurst Resort, Pinehurst, North Carolina, United States of America.

Target Audience and Purpose:
The North Carolina Dermatology Association is pleased to announce its 2019 Annual Meeting, to be held at the historic Pinehurst Resort in Village of Pinehurst, NC. The target audience for this meeting includes dermatologists in private practice and in academic medicine, residents in training, physician assistants, and midlevel providers. This educational activity will update attendees on the latest medical knowledge available from medical literature, clinical experience and research, to keep practitioners on the forefront of new discoveries and their application to the practice of dermatology for the benefit of their patients. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 10.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Overview:
The Annual Meeting program features outstanding faculty who will address current topics of interest to the practicing dermatologist. This year’s program includes timely presentations on wellness and combatting burnout, in addition to clinical presentations and an important legislative update. The schedule includes daily breaks and a Friday evening reception in a networking hub presenting products and services to help the dermatology practice. These events will provide an opportunity to renew friendships and meet new
colleagues. Attire for all functions is business or resort casual.

Conference Objectives:
• Review the current issues surrounding private equity in dermatology.
• Review the issues relating to practicing dermatology including physician burnout.
• Assess the current evidence of diet in dermatology.
• Describe important and emerging chemotherapy reactions.
• Review the latest information on hair loss.
• Discuss novel treatments for autoimmune connective tissue disorders.
• Review legislative updates and patient advocacy in North Carolina in 2019.
• Assess the current evidence of supplements in dermatology.
• Describe the use of teledermatology in global and community health.
• Discuss updates in billing and coding.
• Review the latest information on skin of color.
• Review the issues relating to practicing dermatology including wellness.
• Discuss the latest updates in the treatment of HPV and condyloma
