Course Description:
Acupuncture program, specfically designed to meet the needs of chiropractic practitioners and students who wish to practice acupuncture as an adjunt therapeutic procedure to chiropractic medicine.
This course will prepare the chiropractor to practice acupuncture within the busy chiropractic office.
This short intensive course will provide 100 hours of lecture and practical application. The science and art of acupuncture will be introduced in a functional and orderly progression. Whenever applicable, clinical research will be referenced. A variety of acupuncture techniques will be taught, enabling the practitioner to diagnose and treat with confidence, in a safe and effective manner.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, the successful student will be able to:
• Demonstrate a basic understanding of the Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy.
• Locate acupuncture points along an acupuncture channel.
• Understand the function of the acupuncture point using Traditional Chinese Medicine.
• Practically apply acupuncture points in a clinical setting.
