Course Description :
The UC San Diego Anesthesiology Update 2018 is an exciting and refreshing occasion and has been designed to provide an in-depth, state-of-the-art review of the current practice of anesthesia. This year we will focus on “hot topics” such as point of care ultrasound, enhanced recovery, multimodal perioperative pain management, and preoperative assessment (including genomics). As always, Dr. Jonathan Benumof will provide excellent airway management lectures, Dr. Joel Kaplan will provide an update on cardiovascular issues, and I will present some exciting cases (“Moments of Terror”) The workshops will include point of care ultrasound, airway management, and hemodynamic management, and will be Free of Charge.
